Sympatec's Scientific Forum was developed for readers, interested in background information on the exciting field of particle size and shape charaterisation.
In this first version, it addresses three major topics:
1. | Scientific Events | These are invents which are organised by Sympatec, or were the scientific staff of Sympatec is contributing to (e.g. GVC meeting at the Pulverhaus in 2006). |
2. | Fundamentals of Particle Characterisation | A brief description of the current definitions of the fundamentals of particle size and shape analysis is given, including the definition size, size distributions, model distributions, moments, averages,, sampling, dispersion and references. |
3. | Particle Sizing Methods | Current and historic particle sizing methods are briefly described, e.g. those basing on light interaction, ultrasound, aerodynamic or hydrodynamic flows, electrical field or mechanical forces. References are made to the current literature and the corresponding ISO standards. |
We wish you an interesting tour through these pages.
